The 2021 PCI Design Awards Winners Have Been Announced

The 2021 PCI Design Awards Winners are Here!

Congratulations to all the winners and honorable mentions of the 2021 PCI Design Awards. Three jury panels consisting of architects, engineers, and precast concrete producers selected a total of 28 winners and 12 honorable mentions. The project details, project teams, and photos can be found on the PCI website.

The PCI Design Awards program recognizes design excellence and construction quality using precast concrete. This awards program helps to showcase innovative and advanced technology and ideas.

All winning projects and teams will be showcased at the 2021 PCI Convention, May 18-22, in New Orleans, Louisiana. A cocktail reception will be held Friday, May 21, to honor the winners.

The Jurors

Each jury panel consisted of three judges. Thank you to the judges for your time and expertise in selecting this year's Design Awards winners.

 

Buildings Jury:

  • Tim Cullen, Vice President at Blue Ridge Design
  • Monty Overstreet, Vice President, Project Manager at FDG, Inc.
  • Cheryl Rishcoff, Project Engineer at TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc.

Specials Jury:

  • Marvin Hartsfield, President of Hartsfield & Associates
  • Kyle Knop, Associate Vice President, Senior Project Manager at HGA
  • Bob Konoske, Retired, former Vice President and General Manager of Coreslab Structures LA

Transportation Jury:

  • Reggie Holt, Structural Engineer at FHWA
  • Bijan Khaleghi, Bridge Engineer at WSDOT
  • Glenn Myers, Technical Director of Structural Engineering for Bridges and Ports at Atkins

 

 

2022 PCI Design Awards Submission Site Will Open May 2021

The 2022 PCI Design Awards will be the continuation of the improved program, which will showcase the winning projects in multiple ways:

  • PCI Convention Reception
  • Coverage in PCI Journal, Ascent, and Aspire magazines
  • Opportunity to appear on the front cover and/or as a project feature in Ascent
  • Exclusive project video
  • Exclusive project profile
  • Exclusive website page
  • Coverage in local and external national magazines

PCI will start accepting submissions for the 2022 PCI Design Awards Monday, May 10, 2021. There will be an entry fee of $500 per submission.
