On April 29 - May 1, 2020, the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) will host 200+ attendees and industry professionals for the Thermoplastic Composites Conference 2020 | A Virtual Experience. The updated event, which was initially planned to be held in San Diego, CA, on the same dates, transitioned to a virtual format in response to CDC recommendations to limit large gatherings, conferences and events due to COVID-19.

“With the tremendous expansion of the use of thermoplastic composites in all market segments, ACMA is proud to offer TCC 2020 | A Virtual Experience that will deliver a high quality, unique virtual education and exhibit hall experience you won’t want to miss. The ACMA team is working with our partners to allow the composites industry to have access to this critical knowledge and information from anywhere in the world,” said ACMA Interim President, Kevin Barnett.

The conference program will explore new applications and technology for high performance thermoplastic composites. The preliminary detailed conference program, including speaker and session descriptions, is available on the conference website. The confirmed program will be announced early-April. Additionally, the event will host exhibitors and sponsors in a virtual exhibitor marketplace, showcasing the industry’s innovative solutions in products and services.

The three-day virtual event will share new applications and best practices from industry leaders who have designed, simulated, and modeled materials, parts, and processes for improved manufacturability. This program will also focus on reducing material costs for current and next generation raw and intermediary, while maintaining quality, capacity for scale-up, and optimized process automation to improve processing reliability and consistency. The conference program will feature several panels, as well as keynote presenters from Boeing and Ford Motor Co. with insights on the latest processes and applications for thermoplastic composites in aerospace and automotive markets.

Registration for this virtual event is now open. Additional information is available on the conference website - www.acmanet.org/TCC20.
