Versatile Roof Flashing

Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing

Kemper
March 9, 2020

Kemper System America, Inc. will feature a new odor-free alternative to white roofs and a versatile roof flashing at the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) show March 28-29 in Houston. The new Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing, designed for quick, durable repairs, will be demoed every hour at booth #423.

The two new products complement Kemper System’s full range of cold liquid-applied waterproofing systems for ‘green,’ ‘blue’ and ‘white’ cool roofs.

“Every building, every waterproofing project is different,” said Andreas H. Wiggenhagen, President of Kemper System America. “We provide the design community and contractors with the products they need to handle all types of projects, as well as all the challenging details. --That is everything from excess sun glare and odor concerns to sealing skylights and multiple roof penetrations.”

Versatile Flashing
Unlike most other roof flashing and repair products, the liquid-applied Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing is a solvent-free, low-odor system that adheres to most substrates without a primer -- and is fully reinforced for superior durability. The single-component, silane-based waterproofing can be applied at temperatures above 41 degrees Fahrenheit even in humid conditions and is rainfast in about two hours.

‘White Roof’ Alternative
The new odor-free Kemperol 2K FR color series with thru-color is ideal for exposed roof areas that do not need a white roof, and for avoiding excess glare. The Class A fire-rated reinforced membrane system is designed for extended life on low-slope roofs, and comes in five colors. Because the resin is tinted, there is no need for a color topcoat.

A Range of Cool Roofs
Kemper System’s cool-roof products include two reinforced membrane systems -- Kemperol 2K FR – Reflect White (Reflect 2K FR), a PUR with a Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) rating of 110, and Kemperol AC Speed FR (SRI 108), a PMMA -- as well as two elastomeric-based products which can be brush, roller or spray-applied. Roof Guardian RG-180 is a fibered white acrylic elastomeric roof (SRI 108), and Roof Guardian RG-170 is a white elastomeric coating (SRI 109).

For over 60 years, Kemper System has been and continues to be a global industry leader in cold liquid-applied, reinforced roofing and waterproofing. Today the company’s full range of building envelope solutions protect against weather, preserve the integrity of surfaces, and enhance the energy savings, comfort and value of buildings.

This encompasses Kemperol reinforced membrane systems, the company flagship for exterior and interior waterproofing, Roof Guardian elastomer-based roof coatings, COELAN traffic coating systems, Wall Guardian fibered acrylic air barrier, HeatBloc-ULTRA radiant heat barrier and GreatSeal construction sealants.

To learn more, visit IIBEC booth #423 or contact Kemper System (www.kempersystem.net) at inquiry@kempersystem.net, or 1-800-541-5455.
