The Steel Deck Institute (SDI) will host two sessions on “Properly Specifying Steel Deck” at 2019 NASCC: The Steel Conference in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in Room 230 and Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in Room 275. (The April 4 session will also be live-streamed.) The sessions will be conducted by Thomas Sputo, Ph.D., P.E., S.E., technical director of the Steel Deck Institute. Each session awards 1.0 PDH.

The Steel Deck Institute will also host Booth 329 at the conference, where visitors can receive answers to their questions about steel deck, learn about cutting-edge research,  discuss the steel deck environmental product declaration (EPD), and learn about the SDI Diaphragm Interaction Calculator, a web-based tool that allows for easy calculation of steel deck diaphragms under the influence of combined wind uplift and diaphragm shear in accordance with AISI S310, North American Standard for the Design of Profiled Steel Diaphragm Panels.
