CannonDesign's CEO Bradley Lukanic, AIA, announced a merger between his architectural and engineering firm and FKP. FKP will be known as FKP | CannonDesign until a future transition to the CannonDesign name.

"Today's merger with FKP intentionally increases CannonDesign's commitment to total health solutions with a focus on children's health, while advancing our design impact, being a top-tier employer and taking a stronghold in key geographic areas like Texas and Ohio."

Led by CEO Diane R.K. Osan, FAIA, ACHA, FKP is a nationally recognized firm dedicated to design, planning and operational improvement of complex healthcare, science and higher education facilities, with offices in Houston, Dallas and Columbus. Those offices will remain under the newly formed firm.

FKP | CannonDesign, under one brand, will blur boundaries and raise new perspectives on the lifecycle and continuum of children's health, pediatrics and well-being. "Both firms have solid foundations, now we can expand in key areas to further serve our clients and create partnerships to evolve our design practice," said Lukanic.

Osan will become the pediatric health practice leader at CannonDesign, and will join the firm's board of directors.
