S/L/A/M Construction Services (SLAM CS) announced its recent hire of Tanya Cutolo, AIA, LEED AP and Nathan Bernier, LEED AP. Tanya will join the SLAM CS team as Business Development Director and Nathan Bernier as a Senior Estimator.

Ms. Cutolo brings over 25 years of experience working in the design and construction field. Having worked in the private sector as an architect for over seventeen years and in the construction field for over 8, Tanya brings a creative vision to our construction management division. Tanya has been a Business Development Manager and Director for construction and design build services since 2008, having most recently worked as Director of Business Development for a Connecticut construction firm. Ms. Cutolo will be responsible for the leadership of the SLAM CS marketing team, developing new business opportunities and enhancing engagements with existing clients.

Mr. Bernier made the transition to S/L/A/M Construction Services after spending the past 9 years as an estimator at a Connecticut based Construction Management firm. With fourteen years of experience, Nathan’s expertise is in the healthcare market, having worked on multiple renovation projects at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, UMass Medical Center, Eastern Connecticut Health Network, St. Mary’s Medical Center and Saint Vincent’s Medical Center.  Nathan has a high success rate of working with designers and owners to value engineer projects within budget and has led the effort on multiple projects resulting in a 5-12 percent reduction. Mr. Bernier’s primary focus at SLAM CS will be providing additional support in the firm’s estimating department with a focus on design-build projects.
