Get Ready for METALCON 2016

What you need to know!

▪ The Exhibit hall is open Wednesday and Thursday, Noon to 6:00 pm; and Friday 10:00 am to 1.00 pm. Experts from more than 250 exhibiting companies, including nearly 35 new companies share their product knowledge with visitors from more than 50 countries.

▪ Educational program: General Sessions run from 9.00 to 9.45 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday with classroom sessions from 10.00 to 11.45 a.m. Learning Zones or mini-theaters on the show floor offering quick, FREE 15-minute instructional sessions on roof details, field techniques, and product applications are located in Booths 2159 & 2165.  For a complete list of Conference Sessions and Learning Zones, visit www.metalcon.com.

MCA Metal Roof Installation Training
1.00 – 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday
10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday
Top experts in the metal roofing industry will lead this two-day, eight-hour certification program based on MCA’s recently published Metal Roof Installation Manual.  The objective is to couple the training program with the opportunity to visit the exhibit floor where participants can see live demonstrations of what they have just learned, while networking with industry experts.

As part of its focus on technology this year, METALCON is featuring Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s (ORNL) Additive Manufacturing Integrated Energy (AMIE) project.  AMIE demonstrates rapid innovation through additive manufacturing, or 3-D printing, addressing electricity supply and reliability challenges via an integrated approach to power generation, storage and consumption.
 
9.00 a.m. Keynote speaker, Dr. Roderick Jackson, the technical lead for AMIE and the Building Envelope Systems Research group leader at ORNL, presents on the Future Design and Technology Trends in Construction. See multiple uses of this new technology combined into one package that shows where design, build and energy efforts can take us.  
 
12.00 – 6.00 p.m.  3-D Technology printing interactive demo of AMIE in the exhibit hall at Booth #2271
 
2.00 – 4.00 p.m. Meet NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon in Dura Coat’s Booth #2207.
 
2.00 – 3.00 p.m. Celebrate New Tech Machinery’s 25th Anniversary in booth #2009

Battle Stars over Baltimore, MCA Metal Roofing Championship Games, Booth # 2555
Celebrating our 3rd metal roofing championship games named Battle Stars over Baltimore in recognition of our Star-Spangled Banner birthplace, construction professionals from the audience compete in a number of different challenges for cash prizes totaling $5,000 over the course of this two-day competition.
