New Structural Solutions Portfolio

USG Corporation, a leading building products company, announced its newest product portfolio: USG Structural Solutions. The USG Structural Panel Concrete Subfloor and the USG Structural Panel Concrete Roof Deck are the first products in the portfolio.

“USG Structural Solutions were designed with the structural engineer and the contractor in mind. The products within the portfolio facilitate simpler building processes in various construction applications,” said Chris Schmidt, Senior Director & General Manager, USG Building Envelope Solutions. “The products’ noncombustible formulation, dry application process and ease of handling on the job site are just a few of the product benefits.”

From mezzanines and mid-rises, to platforms and roof decks, USG Structural Panels provide the versatility of wood sheathing and are the only noncombustible structural cementitious panels certified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). In addition, the expanded distribution network increases the availability of the USG Structural Solutions portfolio, ultimately making it easier to get the product to the jobsite.

The new USG Structural Solutions portfolio, and the rebranding of USG Structo-Crete® Structural Concrete Panel and USG Securock® Brand Concrete Roof Deck Panel, better positions the products to meet industry demands for noncombustible structural panels. When compared to poured concrete decks, structural engineers will find that USG Structural Panels can significantly reduce design loads, thus reducing overall building costs.
