CMD, one of the leading providers of construction information in North America, will host a seminar about its market analytics tool, Insight for Architects, at AIA Convention, Atlanta. Led by Jennifer Johnson, CMD vice president of product and development and Laura Marlow, CMD senior director of business development, the one-hour seminar will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center in room B304.

“The Insight for Architects panel will reveal firsthand how architects are using Insight to grow their business, network with potential business partners and better understand their competition,” said Johnson. “This year we are also launching CMD’s partnership with VIMtrek—giving AIA architects the opportunity to bring their blueprints to life through3D virtual reality models.”

Jointly developed with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Insight for Architects provides architects with instant access to hundreds of thousands of construction projects across the U.S., as well as market analytics. Users can view thousands of pre-bid projects, track desired projects, and stay alert to trends and forecasts.

“CMD’s technology and data along with VIMtrek’s Viewer software make Insight for Architects even more essential for firms that desire a strategic view into new opportunities,” said Graeme McCracken, CEO of CMD. “Our recent partnership with VIMtrek and their 3D modeling technology will help professionals save time and money by streamlining collaboration.”

In addition to the panel, CMD will demo Insight for Architects at its booth (#2229) throughout the AIA Convention. Demos will include comprehensive explanations of the new 3D visual information modeling (VIM) technology and how it improves collaboration among building owners, architects, construction managers, and engineers in the final phase of projects.
