Applegate Insulation is pleased to announce the completion of UL Classification for surface burning characteristics only of their Cotton Armor cotton fiber blankets. These UL Classified products include Applegate blankets and panels from ¼-inch – 2-inch thick at densities up to 3.5 pcf. They are the first and only cotton building products to receive a UL723 Classification.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a global, independent, science safety company dedicated to promoting safe living and working environments, safeguarding people, products and places. Applegate Insulation’s UL Classification was conducted in accordance with Standard ANSI/UL723, Tenth Edition, dated September 10, 2008 with revisions through August 12, 2013, “Test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials.”
