Please join me in welcoming our new managing editor, Lindsay Lewis. Lindsay graduated in 2011 from Central Michigan University with her bachelor’s degree in journalism. She joined BNP Media in June of 2013 as Walls & Ceilings magazine’s associate and web Editor. We’re excited to have her as an addition on our team, and we look forward to our future with her.

While some things change, our focus on continuing education remains the same. We pride ourselves on our educational offerings, including our webinars and articles that offer continuing education credits with AIA, RCI and USGBC. As always, our past webinars are available on demand online at www.arwarchitect.com. Our most recent webinars include:

Trends in Commercial Waterproofing Applications. Sponsored by Quest Construction Products and XtraFlex, this webinar provides participants with the information required to determine and design waterproofing systems for commercial applications. The focus of the presentation is on current waterproofing materials and systems, as well as code requirements, design guidelines and application methods.

The Perimeter Roof Edge: More Than Just Aesthetics. Although roof edge systems account for a small percentage of overall building costs, 60 percent of building-related litigation claims come from the roof area — making the perimeter roof edge the first line of defense in a wind event. Sponsored by Duro-Last, this webinar explores the importance of quality roof edge design and installation.
