IB Roof Systems Donates $2,000 to RCI Foundation for Educational Initiatives
IRVING, Texas — IB Roof Systems donated $2,000 to the Lewis W. Newlan Educational Fund at the annual RCI Foundation Auction during its annual auction held in Anaheim, Calif.
The donation was given in an effort to support the RCI Foundation. IB Roof Systems based its donation on the number of attendees who visited its booth at the 19th Annual RCI Conference and Trade Show held prior to the auction.
“We enjoyed visiting with various members of RCI,” said Marketing Communications Manager Brad Egan. “Being able to showcase our roofing systems while supporting a great cause makes it a win-win for everyone.”
Show attendees answered a few simple questions within 60 seconds at the IB booth on the IB-IQ questionnaire, an iPad-based set of questions about IB, its products and the roofing systems it offers. For each submission, $20 was donated to the foundation to help provide scholarships for students in the field of building study.
The RCI Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization that financially supports activities that advance the knowledge of the building envelope, including publications, educational programs and research. The Foundation is separate and independent from RCI Inc., which is the organizer of the RCI Conference and Trade Show, which was held at the Anaheim Hilton and Anaheim Convention Center March 20-25.
IB's Phillip David, director of technical services and RCI member, presented the donation to the RCI Foundation at the auction.
