Founded in 1952 by Deryl Yundt, Roofmaster has grown to become one of America’s largest manufacturers and distributors of roofing equipment and tools. Headquartered in Monterey Park, Calif. (Los Angeles), Roofmaster also has divisions in Hayward, Calif., Kent, Wash. and Atlanta, Ga. Among the many industry firsts or ideas from Roofmaster are; the first pumping of hot asphalt to the roof in 1952, the rotary feltlayer, the first working steel feltlayer, and the first primer sprayer.

The company has grown from its “hot” roots to carry more than 8,000 products and parts, giving the contractor anything needed to safely put on, or take off a roof. An experienced sales team is supported by an authorized full-service parts and repair department. The company is family owned. Jimmy Yundt took over the CEO position in 1984. James Yundt, the third generation, is currently vice president.
