Novagard Solutions, Inc. Announces Their Nova-Green Initiative

February 1, 2012

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Novagard Solutions, Inc. announces their Nova-Green Initiative. As modern architects design new buildings with the green-building requirements and specifications utilizing VOC compliant sealants and adhesives, Novagard Solutions has complied with the Nova-Green Initiative to meet those architectural needs. Consequently, the company is critically aware of its environmental responsibility as a corporate citizen to maintain an emphasis on production of new products which have a minimal environmental footprint. Since the 80’s the company has been dedicated to leading the industry with environmentally superior adhesives. Consequently, all of the NOVAFLEX® building materials products meet or exceed the legislated low VOC compliant levels with solvent-free and environmentally friendly chemical formulations. Usage of NOVAFLEX sealants and adhesives on your green-building project will contribute to LEED and NAHB building certification points.

“For more than 30 years, Novagard Solutions has been creating and introducing newly engineered products for all types of applications in the building construction industry and Novagard has developed and fostered a focus on production of environmentally friendly products since our beginning,” said Michael S. Sylvester – Founder and CEO. “The motto, ‘Engineered Products…Innovative Thinking’, further expresses our mindset on being an environmentally responsible manufacturer of VOC compliant building materials which meet or exceed the rigorous compliance standards which have been set forth by the industry’s green-building architects and authorities for sealant and adhesive usage.”

Consequently, roofing contractors are not exposed to hazardous ingredients or an unpleasant odor when applying NOVAFLEX silicone sealants and adhesives. Each product in the NOVAFLEX family is easy to use, easy to clean-up and is available in a sturdy 10.3 oz. plastic caulker cartridge which can be recycled after use to further reduce its environmental impact.

The company recently announced the introduction of NOVAFLEX silicone Metal Roof Sealant which offers improved benefits of superior UV resistance, superior weatherability, outstanding adhesion to Kynar® coated metal roof substrates, a tack free time less than 15 minutes, total cure in as little as 24 hours and has shrinkage on cure of 1 to 4 percent, extrudes easily down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit and is mildew resistant. The combined effect of these features offers metal roof installation or metal roof repair applications with a superior technology sealant adhesive system and for the contractor offers superior ease of use and cleanup.
