EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Allied Building Products Corp. announced the promotion of JR Wiesmann to Vice President of Corporate Development effective Dec. 1, 2011.

JR joined the Allied family in 2006 as a key member of the development team. Since then he has been a strategic advisor to management on potential growth opportunities and has played a key role in several of our most recent acquisitions. In addition to his development role, JR helped Allied to establish a position as a leading supplier of solar products in the Western United States.

Prior to joining Allied, JR spent five years as a project management consultant for Sungard and six years as an officer in the Air Force. JR’s broad leadership and business experience will benefit both Allied and Oldcastle greatly in the years ahead.
