SYNTHEON to Showcase Elemix Concrete Additive at CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show

March 21, 2011
Pittsburgh-based SYNTHEON Inc., a building science company specializing in high-efficiency building envelope systems, is pleased to announce its participation in CONEXPO-CON/AGG, an international gathering place for the construction industries.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Pittsburgh-based SYNTHEON Inc., a building science company specializing in high-efficiency building envelope systems, is pleased to announce its participation in CONEXPO-CON/AGG, an international gathering place for the construction industries. The exposition will be held from March 22-26, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and will showcase the latest equipment, products, services and technologies across the industry.

“CONEXPO-CON/AGG is a key show in the international construction industry space, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to educate attendees about Elemix® Concrete Additive along with SYNTHEON’s dedication to enhancing sustainable building practices worldwide,” said Antonio Torres, president of SYNTHEON, Inc. “Following the company’s launch into the marketplace last year, it’s important for us to continue to tell our story to the building and construction community as we work to sustainably advance the building envelope from concept to reality.”

The SYNTHEON line of products feature advanced eco-friendly building envelope solutions designed to transform sustainable construction globally. Identified collectively as the SYNCORE™ Building Envelope System, SYNTHEON manufactures a collection of advanced building envelope components.

Elemix® Concrete Additive, a new engineered lightweight synthetic particle with ICC-ES code compliance that has been specially formulated for use in concrete, will be featured at the show. Elemix Concrete Additive leverages its dynamic structure and dispersion characteristics to become an integral part of the concrete matrix, resulting in reliable consistency and improved performance for lightweight structural concrete. Elemix additive enables builders to produce concrete that reduces construction costs, resists cracking and pumps, places and finishes easily.

In addition to Elemix additive, the SYNCORE line of products also features accel-E® Steel Thermal Efficient Panel (S.T.E.P.) Wall System, which is a lightweight, easy-to-install, high-performance wall system that combines the strength and performance of cold-formed steel framing with the superior insulation properties of expandable polystyrene (EPS).

Held every three years, CONEXPO-CON/AGG is presented by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), and will feature a comprehensive education program with sessions emphasizing industry issues and trends, management and applied technology. The exposition will draw over 140,000 attendees and nearly 2,000 exhibitors, including SYNTHEON at Booth H-32100.
