RICOWI to Host Spring Meetings
The Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues, Inc., (RICOWI), will host their 2011 series of spring meetings Thursday, April 7 – Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Peppermill Resort, Reno, Nevada.
February 09, 2011 –The Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues, Inc., (RICOWI), will host their 2011 series of spring meetings Thursday, April 7 – Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Peppermill Resort, Reno, Nevada. The Spring Meeting series will include new innovations and interactive concepts in programming. The Thursday April 7th schedule will include Committee meetings, the convening of the RICOWI Board of Directors and the General Membership Meeting. The Friday, April 8th agenda features the special Spring Seminar: “Weather Meets Green."
The RICOWI Spring Meetings will again be held in conjunction with the RCI International Convention & Trade Show, to be held April 7 - 12, 2011, also at the Peppermill Resort, Reno.
The RICOWI Spring Meetings and Seminar have been organized to provide an expanded scope of a new, innovative and stimulating educational program. Joan Cook, Executive Director, RICOWI, Inc. noted that the meeting series will focus on priority educational programming and RICOWI’s role leading the Roofing Industry through Innovative Collaboration. Cook indicated, ”RICOWI will be adding "Learning Circles" to the seminar agenda, which will provide an opportunity for the participants to discuss the information they received from the various presentations.”
A Call for Presentations was issued earlier for the upcoming seminar -- “Weather Meets Green” -- and a timely program has now been developed.
A sampling of some of the confirmed presenters is:
Dr. Roland Schindler, Fraunhofer, USA Mike Fenner, Roofing Manager – Target, USA Colleen O'Brien, BEW Engineering Inc., and Sue Kateley, California Solar Energy Industries Association
A Green Codes Panel discussion will follow in the afternoon.
