Mage Solar Academy, part of the globally operating Mage Group, announced that it is offering an additional PV 101-Entry Level class from June 13-17 in order to help qualified NABCEP Installer Exam candidates meet the cut-off date for the application.
DUBLIN, Ga. – Mage Solar Academy, part of the globally operating Mage Group, announced that it is offering an additional PV 101-Entry Level class from June 13-17 in order to help qualified NABCEP Installer Exam candidates meet the cut-off date for the application.
NABCEP requirements demand completion of at least 40 hours of training in addition to the installation of two PV-systems prior to applying for the installer exam. Since the application package is due 71 days before the actual test date on Sept. 24, the Academy decided to incorporate an additional PV 101-Entry Level class into its active course schedule.
“The intense five-day training session is the last opportunity to fulfill the educational requirement for the July 15 application deadline,” said Mage Solar Academy Manager Lee Radney. “It will give candidates who have fulfilled all other requirements like field experience and independent study the opportunity to receive their 40 hours of theoretical and hands on-instruction at our state-of-the-art facility. Especially since this might be the last exam based on the 2008 NEC Code before NABCEP switches over and adopts the 2011 Code; this is an excellent chance to get prepared for this ‘golden standard exam.’”
Originally more of a voluntary certification of excellence in the PV-field, NABCEP certification is becoming a clear trend as the industry expands at a rapid pace. Many government contracts now require NABCEP certification in order to be eligible for bidding and receiving incentive money and other areas are following suit fast.
The Academy features a host of cutting-edge equipment that will excellently prepare students to master the latest technologies utilizing industry leading brands. Practical training units can be deployed indoors, independent from the weather, or outdoors, at MSA’s training park in Dublin, Ga. All course material is based on NABCEP Learning Outcomes.
Students who sign up before June 1 will receive a $50 tuition rebate. A free scientific calculator, along with a Digital Multimeter is included in the price. For more information, call 478-609-6751 or e-mailmsa@magesolar.com.
