NELSON Worldwide welcomed six new members to the team and announce the advancement of three individuals, each of whom support the company’s mission of transforming the human experience through design.

LRS Architects announced the grand opening of Slabtown Square, a seven-story, mixed-use multifamily building. The project includes 200 apartment homes ranging from studio, one, and two-bedrooms, with underground parking, 11,500 square feet of retail space, and a 16,000 square-foot public square in the bustling Slabtown neighborhood of Northwest Portland.  

Business conditions remain soft at architecture firms in June with the AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index reporting a score of 46.4. Any score below 50 indicates that billings decline, although somewhat fewer firms reported a decline in billings in June than in May.

Bard High School Early College DC, an innovative early college program located in Ward 8 in Washington, DC, won a 2024 AIA Education Facility Design Award, and The Wharf, a visionary waterfront neighborhood in Southwest DC, was honored with a 2024 AIA Regional & Urban Design Award at the recent AIA Awards gala.
