JCJ Architecture Elevates Multiple Team Members

The elevations spotlight individuals in various roles who have contributed to the firm’s profile as a national design practice

JCJ Architecture (JCJ) announced a series of promotions, recognizing individuals for their extraordinary commitment to design innovation, technical excellence, and client service. 

“The stability and growth of our firm is indelibly tied to the exemplary talents and tireless efforts of our team of industry-leading professionals,” said Peter N. Stevens, LEED AP, President of JCJ Architecture. “Each of these individuals has demonstrated leadership qualities and has proven themselves to be tenacious design practitioners and dedicated project collaborators. We are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and look forward to their contributions to the ongoing advancement of our design practice.”

Promoted to Principal and Associate Principal: 

  • Emily Czarnecki, NCIDQ – Principal, Lead Interior Designer: With 27 years of industry experience, Emily has dedicated her career to designing for K12 and higher education, recreation, and civic and community projects. An industry leader, Emily has spoken at regional and national education conferences on the evolution of flexible and agile spaces. 
  • Christine Faverio, RA — Associate Principal, Senior Project Designer, Studio Leader: Christine’s 35+ year career has been defined by design leadership across global and national markets. With an unmistakable passion for design and unique form-making, her work has ranged from branded hotels and waterfront resorts to luxury residential, multi-family towers and destination casinos.
  • Fawn Walton Pellegrini, RA, LEED AP — Associate Principal, Senior Project Manager, Studio Leader: A highly skilled architect and project manager, Fawn has focused on public sector work, including K12 and higher education, civic, public safety, recreation and historic preservation. She was JCJ’s first ESOP Communication Chair from 2012-2014 and served on JCJ’s Board of Directors from 2022-2024.
  • Varnell Alexander Smith — Associate Principal, Senior Project Manager: Varnell’s career has encompassed planning, design, documentation and management of complex projects at a regional and national scale. His expertise spans hospitality, mixed-use, education, multi-family housing, senior living and projects for Tribal Nations. 

 

Promoted to Senior Associate: 

  • Carrie-Ann Nielsen, NCIDQ – Senior Associate, Senior Project Designer: Carrie is a creative and detail-oriented project designer who focuses on driving innovative design for hotel and hospitality. 
  • Lisa St. Amand, AIA – Senior Associate, Project Designer, Studio Leader: Having studied fine arts before pursuing her architectural degree, Lisa brings a refined sensibility to her work as a designer for projects in JCJ’s public sector contracts, including projects for Tribal Nations.
  • Brian Stone, RA, LEED AP – Senior Associate, Senior Project Architect: An architect of incredible range and technical skill, Brian is a highly engaged team leader with nearly 20 years of experience in projects at a wide variety of scales and levels of complexity. 

 

Promoted to Associate: 

  • Tyler Barile – Associate, Design Technician II 
  • Jessica Barrow, NCIDQ – Associate, Interior Designer III 
  • David Clutter – Associate, Senior Project Team Leader 
  • Jill Leske, AIA, LEED GA – Associate, Architect III
  • Jennifer Krein – Associate, Senior Marketing Coordinator 
  • Christine Leary, AIA – Associate, Senior Project Architect, Studio Leader
