Coil Coating System for Aluminum Composite Panels

TRINAR A-CLAD

AkzoNobel has launched TRINAR A-CLAD, a new coil coating system for aluminum composite panels (ACPs).

TRINAR A-CLAD is a high-performance, 70% polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) coil coating system for commercial and monumental ACP projects. New to the AkzoNobel coil coatings portfolio, it enables ACP coaters and specifiers to source consistent, high-performing coatings for the entire exterior building envelope from just one brand – helping to reduce costs and simplify the procurement process.

TRINAR A-CLAD has best-in-class stain and abrasion resistance, as well as consistent flow and levelling performance. Supremely easy to work with, the product offers a smooth, uniform finish during application and comes in a broad range of color and aesthetic options, ranging from solid earth tones to mica/metallics. TRINAR A-CLAD is formulated and mixed through AkzoNobel’s automatic dosing unit (ADU) for pinpoint color targeting and quality consistency. Reflecting AkzoNobel’s strong commitment to sustainability, it is also PFOA-free and meets AAMA 2605 specifications.

This product makes it easier than ever for ACP coaters and specifiers to design and coat structures that combine remarkable weathering resistance and uniform finish with superb aesthetics, while also reducing costs and effort.

“TRINAR A-CLAD is the most innovative coil coating technology for the ACP market and is ahead of the regulatory curve,” says Manoel Rodrigues, Regional Commercial Director, Metal Coatings, America. “We’ve been working with this incredible PVDF technology since the early 1970s. Our technical specialists have developed optimized PFOA-free formulations that are proven in the field.”

TRINAR A-CLAD is also available in AkzoNobel’s COOL CHEMISTRY series, which contains ceramic infrared reflective pigments. These special pigments are designed to reflect UV rays, while still absorbing visible light energy, thus appearing as the same color yet staying much cooler.

Rodrigues continues: “With a variety of unique finishes, TRINAR A-CLAD provides an extensive portfolio of options for every appearance, with exceptional resistance to exterior weathering such as fading, color change, chalking and cracking.”

For more information on TRINAR A-CLAD, contact your AkzoNobel representative or visit our website.
