Demilec, Inc., a subsidiary of Huntsman Corp. and one of North America's leading manufacturers of open-cell and closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation and coatings, hosted United States Congressman Ron Wright on Monday, May 13, in Arlington, Texas. Demilec, which was acquired by Huntsman in 2018, develops products with renewable and recyclable content that is eco-friendly and energy-efficient through highly efficient insulation properties.

While at Demilec, the Congressman participated in a behind-the-scenes tour given by Carl Landes, Plant Manager at Demilec, and an up-close look at the research, development and innovation taking place at the facility. Congressman Wright and Demilec executives discussed the energy saving advantages of spray foam (SPF), and contributed to the congressman’s focus on Energy Independence for the United States. Immediately after touring the production facility and R&D center, Congressman Wright addressed associates and discussed the company’s environmental initiatives, while also seeing a live SPF demonstration.

“Demilec’s product will help our country’s environmental footprint, and I enjoyed getting a closer look at this important venture and visiting with the team,” said Congressman Wright.
