The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance recognized the contributions and achievements of its members and congratulated winners at the Annual Awards Banquet at the end of the second day of the 2023 FGIA Annual Conference.
The industry awards program highlights some of the spray foam industry’s latest standout projects and recognizes contractors for their solid practices in applications of spray polyurethane foam in insulation, roofing, specialty applications and concrete lifting, as well as for elastomeric coatings applications.
Saint-Gobain North America, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Roofing, has acquired the rights to technology from recycling partner Asphaltica that will allow the company to recycle asphalt shingle waste, diverting it from landfill and furthering the company’s commitment to creating a circular economy in its production of roofing shingles.
In early November, Owens Corning announced advancements toward its circular economy aspiration through enhanced shingle recycling efforts. The company intends to recycle two million tons of shingles per year in the U.S. by 2030.
Armstrong World Industries has committed to meeting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency “Clean Air in Buildings Challenge,” a call to action for organizational leaders and building owners and operators to assess their indoor air quality and make ventilation, air filtration, and air cleaning improvements to help keep building occupants safer.
