The Rainscreen Association in North America (RAiNA) announced the official Call for Abstracts for our upcoming 2026 Conference, taking place on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

This is a significant first for RAiNA, and we are seeking experienced professionals and thought leaders from across the building enclosure community to contribute to a compelling and educational program.

The theme for this year’s conference is:

Weathering the Future: Rainscreens, Retrofit and Resilience. 

The organization is especially interested in sessions that explore the essential components of rainscreen assemblies, the technical accuracy required in their design and installation, and the resulting performance outcomes.

We welcome a variety of presentation formats, including:

• Traditional technical presentations
• Panel discussions that bridge perspectives across disciplines 
• Case studies highlighting real-world challenges, solutions, and outcomes 

Topics of interest include:

• Residential and Multifamily Applications
• Retrofit, Remediation, and Overcladding Strategies
• Installation Practices and Field Realities
• Water Management and System Performance
• Assembly Tolerances and System Integration
• Warranty, Risk, and Performance Expectations
• Codes, Standards, and Regulatory Impacts

Abstracts must be non-commercial, meet AIA standards, and be structured to support a 60-minute session, including Q&A. Proposals will be reviewed by the RAiNA Conference Committee and selected based on relevance, clarity, technical merit, and alignment with the conference theme.

Key Dates:

• Submission Deadline: Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM 
• Notification of Acceptance: Week of June 1, 2026 
• Final Presentation Due: Monday, September 7, 2026 

Presenters of accepted sessions will receive a complimentary full conference pass. (Maximum of two session submissions per speaker. Travel and lodging expenses are not reimbursed.)
