Duro-Last Honors Contractor of the Year and Annual Project Awards at 2025 National Sales Seminar

Duro-Last’s annual National Sales Seminar, held Jan. 19 through 21 at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, welcomed more than 1,400 guests representing more than 280 authorized Duro-Last roofing contractor companies. The highly anticipated event was packed with educational sessions, networking, company news and product announcements. Many contractors were also celebrated for their outstanding work and accomplishments throughout 2024.

“The excitement and anticipation for the National Sales Seminar is always palpable, but this year holds a unique significance," said Duro-Last President Darren Schulz. "With numerous innovative advances unfolding in the roofing industry, contractors were eager to hear about our 2025 initiatives, including the official launch of our Duro-TECH™ TPO product line. It was an honor to celebrate Duro-Last’s next chapter with the dedicated roofing professionals who continue to play a vital role in our success and growth.”

Duro-Last’s 2024 Contractor of the Year was awarded to Parsons Commercial Roofing from Lorena, Texas. Parsons Roofing earned the Contractor of the Year distinction for its exceptional work, attention to detail, customer service and outstanding sales throughout 2024. Parsons Roofing, an authorized Duro-Last contractor for more than 25 years, also earned the distinction of a Duro-Last Platinum contractor for its quality workmanship.

Additionally, Duro-Last Project Awards were recognized. Award winners and categories included:

Project of the Year Award
Recognizing the project which best utilizes all aspects of a Duro-Last Roofing System and demonstrates a dedication to outstanding workmanship, best practices, innovation and customer service.
Contractor: Duerson Corporation of Altoona, Iowa
Project: Grinnell Mutual – Grinnell, Iowa
 
Custom-Fabrication Award
Recognizing the project which best utilizes Duro-Last’s custom-fabricated membrane and accessories throughout the roofing system.
Contractor: Kelly Roofing of Naples, Florida
Project: Twin Dolphins Condominiums – Naples, Florida
 
Edge-to-Edge & Deck-to-Sky™ Award
Recognizing the project which best utilizes Duro-Last products for the entire roofing system – from Edge-to-Edge & Deck-to-Sky.
Contractor: Brandle Roofing & Sheet Metal of Midland, Michigan
Project: Greater Midland Community Center – Midland, Michigan
 
Metal Roofing Award
Recognizing the project which best utilizes EXCEPTIONAL® Metals’ metal roofing and wall panels.
Contractor: B&M Roofing of Rocky Mount, North Carolina
Project: Clement Elementary School – Autryville, North Carolina
 
Sustainability Award
Recognizing the project which best utilizes Duro-Last products or services to reduce the environmental impact of the building.
Contractor: JBK Commercial Roofing of Corbin, Kentucky
Project: Girdler Elementary School – Girdler, Kentucky
 
Specialty Membrane Award
Recognizing the project which best utilizes Duro-Last roll good products.
Contractor: Technical Roofing of St. Henry, Ohio
Project: The Delco – Dayton, Ohio

Networking, Education and Entertainment
Education and networking took center stage at the Seminar, with breakout sessions covering topics such as customized roofing solutions, online reputation management, Edge-to-Edge & Deck-to-Sky advantages with Duro-Last metal edge products, enhanced sales techniques and the ever-popular custom-fabrication techniques. Attendees also had time to unwind, dressing up for the annual Awards Gala where top contractors were honored for their 2024 achievements. Seminar wrapped up with an epic night of traditional Texas barbecue and live entertainment at the Taste of Texas finale party.
