Huntsman Building Solutions (HBS), the global leader in high performance, energy efficient and resilient building envelope solutions, has announced the launch of its all-new Icynene Series spray polyurethane foam insulation product line. The collection of spray foam systems offers the highest performance available in the industry today and includes key product certifications. Customers of the Icynene Series will also benefit from a robust service and support package of offerings.

“The Icynene range is undoubtedly one of our most notable launches to date,” says Doug Brady, chief strategy officer with Huntsman Building Solutions. “As our highest tier offering, these products speak to the long-term quality and reputation of the Icynene brand. We are pleased to offer them paired with an elevated service package to our valued customers.”

The Icynene Series spray polyurethane foam insulation product line includes a broad range of high-performance, energy efficient open- and closed-cell spray foam insulation systems. The full range of products includes the following:

  • Icynene HFO 200, a closed-cell spray foam insulation that acts as a continuous insulation solution and provides an aged thermal resistance of 7.4/inch.
  • Icynene HFO MAX, a closed-cell spray foam insulation that combines an R-value of 7.4/inch with a maximum 6.5” lift per pass.
  • Icynene OC No-Mix, an open-cell spray foam insulation and no-mix required option which is ideal for use in walls, ceilings (including vaulted and cathedral style), floors and attics. The product provides an aged thermal resistance of 3.9/inch, or R-3.7/inch at 4-inches or greater.
  • Icynene Ultra 50, an industry-leading open-cell spray foam option that is easy to use and provides an aged thermal resistance of 3.81/inch.
  • Icynene Classic 45, an open-cell spray foam that is installed in attics, crawl spaces and interior spaces with no ignition barrier required. The high yield, low density option provides an aged thermal resistance of 3.7/inch.
  • Icynene High-R 80, an open cell spray foam solution with a 0.75-pound density, high insulating R-Value and air barrier properties. The product’s aged thermal resistance is 4/inch.

The full line of insulation options enhances the building envelope while providing customers with numerous additional benefits.

“The Icynene range is a comprehensive suite of offerings that provides builders, architects, contractors and owners with the superior spray foam options they need to enhance the building envelope, dramatically improve energy savings and ensure all-season indoor comfort,” adds Brady. “Equally important, customers of this suite of products will benefit from the unparalleled, highest tier service and support that Huntsman Building Solutions offers today.”

The service and support package offered to Icynene Series customers is designed to support their needs throughout the entire spray foam process, from specification through installation. Premium services include hands-on building science assistance, technical service, marketing support, specifications, job referrals and much more.

“The ultimate goal of this product line is to offer an elevated customer experience that touches and improves the customer’s spray foam journey from start to finish,” says Brady. “Interest in an offering like this is notably high.”
