AIA members selected 2025 President, Treasurer, and an At-large Director in San Francisco

2024 First Vice President/2025 President-elect

Evelyn Lee, FAIA, NOMA, from AIA San Francisco/AIA California was elected 2025 President-elect.

Lee served as AIA National Treasurer in 2020-2021. She was AIA California’s vice president of Communications & Public Affairs from 2011-2012. She is the only Fellow who has received both the National Associates Award and Young Architects Award and the only member to have served as the chair of the National Associates Committee and Young Architects Forum.

“We have the training our society so desperately needs to solve its most pressing challenges,” said Lee, who ran for president last year, and decided to run again because “the desire for transformation in our industry is so great, and I believe I’m the right leader to empower our members to meet the moment.”

Lee is the Global Head of Workspace Strategy and Innovation at Slack in San Francisco.

2024-2025 Treasurer

Heather Philip-O'Neal, AIA, from AIA New York Chapter/AIA New York was elected Treasurer.

In 2023, Philip-O’Neal served as a member of AIA’s Small Firm Exchange Board and the Finance & Audit Committee. She has been a member of AIA NY’s Advocacy Committee since 2020.

‘As the treasurer for the AIA, I will draw on the skills I have developed to provide financial leadership while continuing to uphold the standards of excellence in managing AIA finances as have both the current and past treasurers," said Philip-O'Neal,

Philip-O’Neal is the principal and owner of HPP International, LCC in New York City.

2024- 2026 At-large Director

Latoya N. Kamdang, AIA, from AIA New York Chapter was elected At-large Director.

Kamdang joined AIA in 2019 and is eager to focus efforts on environmental sustainability, social sustainability, and nurturing and mentoring emerging professionals.

“As we begin to transition to a post-pandemic work culture, the nurturing and mentoring of emerging professionals is necessary for the long-term sustainability of our profession,” said Kamdang. “As an educator, I hope to bring emphasis on training and development of future practitioners as a fundamental pillar of the architecture profession's foundational practice.”

Kamdang is the Director of Operations at Ennead Architects in New York City.
