May 8, 2023

The AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) has announced its endorsement of the Engineered Air Balance (EAB) Training Center in Spring, Texas.

EAB and ACG have entered into a partnership focused on driving positive change in the industry and supporting the growth and success of ACG members. EAB training staff and ACG representatives will work together to design a combination of interactive lectures, case studies, and hands-on exercises, to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they need to successfully commission a wide range of projects. The training, designed to benefit Certified Commissioning Authorities (CxAs) and Certified Commissioning Technicians (CxTs), will cover all aspects of the commissioning process so that participants will be able to identify potential issues, and confidently make informed decisions to ensure the success of their projects. As part of the partnership, EAB has agreed to offer discounts on training courses and materials for current ACG members.

"ACG was founded for the purpose of identifying and certifying qualified commissioning providers, and providing them with the best possible education and training," said ACG President Troy Byers. "After visiting EAB’s state-of-the-art facility and reviewing their planned curriculum of commissioning courses, we are proud to endorse their training as the finest in-depth courses in the industry."

EAB operates a training facility that has developed exclusive competency-based learning programs to provide practical industry training. Instructor-led classes with hands-on demonstrations offer enhanced learning opportunities to introduce and reinforce skills necessary for successful technicians. The multidisciplinary courses will increase proficiencies needed for building commissioning, building optimization and much more.

“As a charter member and active ACG firm, we are honored to be endorsed by ACG as their preferred provider of technical training,” said longtime ACG Member and Chairman of the ACG Certification Council, Justin Garner, PE, TBE, CxA, Engineered Air Balance Co., Inc. “We look forward to coming alongside ACG in their mission to advance independent third-party commissioning professionals by providing technical knowledge, expertise, and problem-solving skills through our training to move the entire industry forward.”
