FitzGerald announced that Elma Milanovic has joined FitzGerald as a Managing Associate. Elma joins FitzGerald with 20 years of experience in workplace, mixed-use residential, and senior living design. She has a strong focus on building repositioning, workplace design, and project team management, and she will work alongside interior design director Kristen Larkin to lead the firm's workplace practice.

"As workplaces evolve, it is more important than ever to offer clients visionary design and valuable service," said Kristen Larkin, FitzGerald's interior design director and one of the firm's principals. “Elma adds a great deal of depth to our workplace design expertise, and her approach to leading teams through the process of interior architecture and design will elevate the work we do to the benefit of our clients and staff."

Elma is an IIDA Professional, NCIDQ-certified Interior Designer, and her portfolio includes workplaces and headquarters for national corporations such as Wells Fargo, Zebra Technologies, and ISACA; studio spaces for top design and engineering firms; Rookery Building tenant suites; and facilities for USO Great Lakes and Jewish Child & Family Services.

Utilizing her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago and CDT-certification, she fosters effective cross-collaboration between architecture and interior design teams—resulting in an elevated quality of design and coordination of building systems.

She excels at building strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners, and enjoys doing so while employing an integrated design approach. In addition, she is invested in creating a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive environment that allows all team members to grow and thrive.
