CNY Group Announces New Project Executive

2.jpg
March 23, 2022

New York City-based construction and development services firm CNY Group today announces the hire of Luis Gutierrez as Project Executive. With over 30 years of experience in the architectural, design, and construction industries across the globe, Mr. Gutierrez brings a dynamic and diverse approach to his projects that will strengthen CNY Group's offering. His breadth of expertise across all aspects of the construction business –– ranging from marketing and contracts to LEED Building Commissioning –– will serve to further demonstrate CNY Group’s ongoing dedication to a highly-engaged, expert-led client experience.

“Luis’s critical eye, unique portfolio of work, and international reach has equipped him with a distinct skill set that will bring tremendous value to our growing team,” says Ken Colao, Founding Principal & President at CNY Group. “As the world’s expectations continue to evolve for the level of quality and efficiency of both the construction process and the buildings themselves, Mr. Gutierrez will bring a new level of dexterity to our brand."

In his new role, Mr. Gutierrez will be responsible for the successful execution of each component of a project's lifecycle, as well as offering advisory and design assist services throughout the project. His exceptional attention to detail and commitment to client collaboration and extensive background –– overseeing everything from commercial and retail projects to high-end residential, hospitality, technical, educational, and institutional facilities –– will extend the level of service the company has been known and praised for throughout its history.

“I have long been familiar with CNY Group during my time in the industry and have always been impressed with their reputation of professionalism with the clients they work with,” said Mr. Gutierrez. “I am looking forward to seeing how my background and those of the team at CNY Group can mix together to deliver projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and set new standards for the commercial real estate industry.”

Mr. Gutierrez received his Bachelor's Degree at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture and later earned a Master’s Degree of Real Estate Development at Columbia University. Following graduation, he went on to pursue various roles in project management. Prior to joining CNY Group, he served as the Vice President of Construction for 17 years across roles at two firms. In his new role, Mr. Gutierrez is especially excited to expand on and implement emerging trends within the industry, including the growing focus on high-end residential communities alongside well-designed public buildings such as libraries and museums and will be involved in operations, future business, and strategic planning as well as coordination and production of high-level construction projects. He is a Registered Architect (RA) and LEED-GA certified.
