Meet the PINKs, Owens Corning’s Insulation Superheroes

Owens Corning
September 20, 2021

Owens Corning’s new PINK Next Gen™ Fiberglas™ insulation was recently launched just ahead of the fall/winter insulation season. And, because the company thinks of its contractors as superheroes, who work hard every day to help keep people safe and comfortable in their homes, their insulation marketing team created The PINKs, a group of “next generation” insulation superheroes. The unique approach helps Owens Corning message their goals of helping to solve labor issues through innovation, with fast, efficient installations, while attracting new labor to the insulation industry.

The four characters, in the current animated superhero movie genre, represent the essence of the new fiberglass line: precision, comfort, safety and sustainability. Since about 90% of homes are under insulated, they are dedicated to help battle the cold of winter or heat of summer with innovative PINK Next Gen Fiberglas insulation.

Meet the PINKS! The characters include Precision Pete – a red-haired mercurial guy who darts around super-fast, dedicated to fast installs and a smooth inspection process; Comfort Carolina, a sprightly young woman who keeps everyone cozy; Safety Sam, a muscle-man who is super-protective when it comes to safe ingredients and fire. And, with an eye on the environment, Sustainability Steve, noted for his green thumb, gives a thumb-up to wind powered manufacturing and recycled content. They fight a never ending battle for precision, safety sustainability and comfort. The four characters are depicted working together to insulate homes in zippy, gravity-defying, cartoon superhero fashion.

The secret behind the advanced fiber technology of PINK Next Gen™ Fiberglas™ is a tightly woven network of soft, fine fibers to form a super-resilient blanket of insulating micro-pockets. Leveraging several new technology innovations, the new product is safe for installers and residents and faster to install than competitive insulation products and spray foam insulation. Because no hazardous chemicals are required to be mixed on the install site, there is less potential for human error, increasing peace of mind for installers and residents.

“The PINKS are a fun and animated way to show the four key areas that PINK Next Gen Fiberglas addresses for contractors, installers, builders and homeowners,” said Joe Wagner, Insulation marketing director. “The reaction to the new line—and the PINKS-- has been extremely positive.”

Meet the PINKS launched this month on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin

PINK Next Gen™ Fiberglas™ insulation is available in the U.S. and Canada. Learn more at www.owenscorning.com/PINKNextGen.
