Roofing Alliance
August 2, 2021

The Roofing Alliance, celebrating 25 years as the foundation of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), proudly announces their participation in the 2021 International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Las Vegas, NV, August 10-12, 2021.  The Alliance will host winning teams from Clemson University and Colorado State University to meet the roofing industry in the Roofing Alliance booth #2635.

“We are excited to be back in person for the 2021 IRE,” stated current Alliance president, Dave Lawlor of ROCKWOOL North America. “This is the 25th anniversary of the Roofing Alliance and we have taken pride in sharing the accomplishments of the Roofing Alliance over these last 25 years.  We are looking forward to hosting the winning teams from our Student Competition and we celebrate the generosity of the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation Concert that is benefiting the Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarships with a focus on diversity.”

Roofing Alliance activities will include:

•    Trade show booth - The Roofing Alliance booth #2635 is where visitors can learn more about Roofing Alliance programs, including Most Valuable Player and Gold Circle Awards, Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarships, our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities® and how to join the Roofing Alliance as a member.

•    Meet the students - The winning teams from the 2020-21 Roofing Alliance Student Competition will be hosted for several events during the IRE including the Roofing Alliance member reception, time in the Roofing Alliance booth on Wednesday, August 11 from 3 to 4 p.m., touring of the tradeshow floor and attending the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation Concert.

•    Educational session - Learn more about the Roofing Alliance college-level course by attending the educational course, “Principles of Roofing from Design to Installation and Beyond,” being developed by Clemson University.   Dhaval Gajjar, Assistant Professor at Clemson and Bill Good, Senior Advisor for the Roofing Alliance will lead the educational session that highlights how the Roofing Alliance and Clemson University have partnered to develop, and implement, a roofing-specific course into the university’s curriculum. The class will be Tuesday, August 10th from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

•    Fundraising concert - The SRS Raise the Roof Foundation Concert featuring Darius Rucker and Little Big Town will benefit the Roofing Alliance and National Women in Roofing and both groups will be recognized on stage.  The Roofing Alliance encourages all to attend this great event.
