To address rising incidents of violence and harassment in the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, Simpson Strong-Tie has donated $20,000 to the AAPI Community Fund.

The Fund provides monetary support to community-based organizations that are focused on cross-racial and cross-cultural work in solidarity with other communities of color to support unity and safety for all. To date, the Fund has raised more than $5.5 million and has benefited over 30 trusted AAPI organizations working to address racial inequality in the US.

“Nearly 50,000 individuals have come together with, Simpson Strong-Tie, and other world-renowned brands to make a direct impact on organizations that are dedicated to addressing the urgent and long-term needs that face the AAPI community,” said Executive Director, Yoshi Inoue. “We’re grateful to Simpson Strong-Tie for their generous donation to the AAPI Community Fund as we continue to help organizations across the country.”

“Simpson Strong-Tie continues to work on addressing disparities in diversity, equity and inclusion, both within our own company and in society at large,” said Simpson Strong-Tie CEO Karen Colonias. “Along with our recent donations to Black Lives Matter and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, we want to demonstrate our support for AAPI organizations as they work to protect and empower their communities.”
