Design Collaborative Celebrates Employee Achievements

Design Collaborative (DC) announced professional achievements, leadership roles, and professional registrations for several talented team members.
Bill Ledger, AIA, ACHA, NCARB, EDAC, LEED AP, senior associate and director of healthcare design, was recently named as one of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI)’s Health Leaders Network leaders. Selected as one of 84 leaders globally, participants collaborate with other leaders across the healthcare continuum, including real estate development, planning, design, construction, engineering, finance, and health care, to improve health outcomes in their professional practice and communities. Throughout 2021, Cohort 4 leaders “will convene virtually (due to COVID) for forums and webinars, interact with Health Leaders Network alumni, and work in small groups on a project planned to help land use professionals communicate the value of health equity.”
Bob Sanderson, RRC, REWC, associate and in-house roofing and building envelope consultant, was recently named as a member of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) Document Competition Subcommittee. In this role, Bob will recommend policy on matters related to IIBEC’s document competition held at the annual convention. The role is a three-year commitment, which concludes with the IIBEC Annual Meeting in 2024.
Alex Kircher, RA, WELL AP, associate and architect for the Higher Education team, recently became a WELL Accredited Professional (AP) through the International WELL Building Institute. This credential denotes expertise in the WELL Building Standard (WELL) and a commitment to advancing human health and wellness in buildings and communities.
Jordan Backer, P.E., associate, recently became a registered professional (mechanical) engineer in the state of Indiana. Working with Design Collaborative for nearly five years, Jordan specializes in financial and workplace system design solutions. Select projects include SAFE Federal Credit Union’s Operations Center, Ohio Valley Bank’s Headquarters, Fort Financial Credit Union Headquarters, and Abound Credit Union - Glasgow. Jordan earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Trine University.
Steve Staley, associate and business development manager, is newly appointed to several community and professional Board of Directors and committee roles, including: Healthcare Resource Network, president; Invisible Vets, president; River City Sports, Capital Campaign Chair and Executive Board member; and, Fort Wayne Music Festival, Board member. Steve has worked with Design Collaborative for over three years and covers the south and east Indiana markets, as well as Ohio.
