SOPREMA Inc., will be hosting their first Living Roof Symposium, on October 19, 2017, for architects looking to expand their knowledge on green infrastructure and earn continuing education units. The event will be held at the SOPREMA Hayward Training Center in Hayward, California.

“Vegetated or green roofs are not a new concept in the roofing industry, but recently they have started to gain popularity,” said Sara Jonas, SOPREMA. “The presentations we have planned will provide green infrastructure and vegetated roofing product education, helping architects in attendance achieve credits to keep their accreditations.”

The symposium will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a coffee and networking session, and conclude at 2:00 p.m. The educational day will include product-specific presentations, as well as explanations of real-world applications of green infrastructure. Presentations during the SOPREMA Living Roof Symposium include:

  • San Francisco Living Roof Program, presented by CPC City of San Francisco
  • Stormwater Management Review, presented by Eisenberg, Oliveri & Associates
  • Waterproofing/Vegetated Roofing, presented by David Johnson and Naomi Morgan of SOPREMA
