Architecture and masterplanning firm The Architectural Team, Inc., recently announced several significant honors for the firm's projects.

The spate of awards and accolades reflects 45 years of thought leadership and design excellence in adaptive reuse, historic preservation, and affordable and mixed income multifamily communities. Of particular note is Loft Five50--a 137-unit, LEED certifiable residential complex adapted from the former Malden Mills in Lawrence, Mass.--which was just named a finalist in the Affordable Housing Finance Reader's Choice Awards for the Historic Rehabilitation category.

Featuring 134 affordable and 3 market rate units, Loft Five50, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, represents a significant portion of the community's industrial history. Now re-imagined as a vibrant element in the city's revitalization, the project has received numerous other awards, listed below the signoff.

The Architectural Team has also recently been recognized for a number of other adaptive reuse and affordable housing projects. Images and details follow below the signature.
