PORTLAND, Maine -- Hunter Panels announces that Hunter Xci, their exterior Continuous Insulation Wall Division has created an app to help design professionals create assembly options for compliance with NFPA 285 wall assemblies utilizing Hunter Xci polyiso products. NFPA 285 is a fire test for multistory wall assemblies required by code for commercial buildings Type I, II, III and IV construction. The assemblies include all products from interior finish to exterior cladding.

The application is visually attractive, easy to use and saves time. First you pick your wall type: CMU, concrete or Steel Stud. Next you select your Hunter Xci Polyiso product. Finally you select your exterior finish system. The wall is assembled right before your eyes with components and their specs labeled. At the end you have the option of “View/Save PDF” you where you can view the NFPA 285 compliant wall assembly options you created to include in your spec.

The application was designed for use on a Droid, iPad, iPhone and there is a web based version on the Hunter XCI website, www.hunterxci.com.
