August 17, 2011
Attendees and exhibitors of the 2012 International Roofing Expo can now make housing and travel reservations through the official hotel vendor, Travel Planners. Offering hotel, airline and car rental discounts through a variety of companies, Travel Planners offers the biggest savings and most valuable perks.

DALLAS – Attendees and exhibitors of the 2012 International Roofing Expo can now make housing and travel reservations through the official hotel vendor, Travel Planners. Offering hotel, airline and car rental discounts through a variety of companies, Travel Planners offers the biggest savings and most valuable perks.

Taking place Feb. 22-24, 2012, in the South Hall A at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., the show will offer roofing contractors of all sizes and specialties a comprehensive preview of the entire roofing construction and maintenance industry. “We worked diligently with the hotels to ensure they offered the lowest possible rate,” said Lindsay Roberts, Director of the Expo. “Attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to make their hotel reservations now to secure their preferred hotel.”

The Hilton Orlando will serve as the headquarter hotel and the site of most NRCA meetings and events. Offering rates starting as low as $205 per night, this hotel adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center features 2 resort pools, a Lazy River, full service spa, fitness center, basketball/tennis/events courts, and a 9-hole Executive Putting and Chipping Golf Course. Other hotels within the IRE block include:

Embassy Suites Intl Drive/Convention Center – rates as low as $189 per night

Hampton Inn Intl Drive/Convention Center – rates as low as $125 per night

Homewood Suites by Hilton Convention Center – rates as low as $135 per night

Hyatt Place Orlando Convention Center – rates as low as $145 per night

Peabody Orlando – rates as low as $239 per night

Red Roof Inn Convention Center – rates as low as $72 per night

Residence Inn Convention Center Orlando – rates as low as $152 per night

Rosen Centre Hotel – rates as low as $185 per night

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando – rates as low as $75 per night

Rosen Plaza Hotel – rates as low as $175 per night

SpringHill Suites Convention Center – rates as low as $152 per night

“The NBA All-Star game and Daytona 500 will be held in/around Orlando the same week as the International Roofing Expo,” said Bill Good, Executive Vice President of NRCA, the show’s official sponsor. “I encourage all of our members to book their hotels as soon as possible.”

American, Air Canada and Delta will serve as official airlines, offering service from destinations nationwide to the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Discounts are available off published airfares and based on availability, offering the most cost efficient travel route to the show. Avis, Enterprise and Dollar offer discounted car rental rates to help show participants get around Orlando easily.

To secure the best rates, show participants must book through our online reservation system at www.TheRoofingExpo.com/attendee/housing-travel.aspx. Reservations may be made online 24-hours a day, seven days a week, or by calling 800-221-3531 during the hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.

As the only official housing provider for the International Roofing Expo, Travel Planners is the only company that can sell rooms in the official housing blocks. Attendees and exhibitors are encouraged not to use other housing providers to secure rooms.

“Offering an alternative to taxis, Mears Motor Shuttle offers discounted shuttles to all preferred hotels,” said Roberts. “For best savings, attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to purchase their round trip shuttle transfer ticket online before they arrive in Orlando.” Shuttle tickets are available for purchase at www.MearsTransportation.com using the discount code 411362050. For information about the International Roofing Expo, visit www.TheRoofingExpo.com or call 972-536-6415 or 800-684-5761. Twitter users can follow the show using #RoofingExpo or @RoofingExpo.

The International Roofing Expo is the must-attend event for commercial and residential roofing professionals to stay abreast of market directions, trends and cutting-edge technology. Formerly owned by NRCA, the show was sold to Hanley Wood Exhibitions in May 2004. The official show sponsor is NRCA; the official show publication is Roofing Contractor; and the official residential publication is Replacement Contractor.
