IRE to Launch Renewable Energy Pavilion

January 4, 2011
The 2011 International Roofing Expo is launching the Renewable Energy Pavilion, a designated area on the show floor to provide education and resources to attendees interested in this innovative and cutting-edge segment.

The 2011 International Roofing Expo is launching the Renewable Energy Pavilion, a designated area on the show floor to provide education and resources to attendees interested in this innovative and cutting-edge segment.

The Renewable Energy Pavilion will educate attendees on of the benefits of using renewable energy products including solar, green/eco-friendly, photovoltaics, vegetative, roof-mounted wind turbines, day lighting, geothermal and other renewable energy products. The Renewable Energy Pavilion is sponsored by Georgia Pacific, who will be exhibiting in booth #726.

“Renewable energy products are a fast-growing segment of the roofing industry,” said Lindsay Roberts, Director of the Expo. “In fact, there was a nearly 21 percent increase from 2009 to 2010 in the number of attendees who indicated they were interested in solar and green/eco-friendly categories.”

The Renewable Energy Pavilion exhibits and product showcase area will feature Ambassador Energy, Cool Roof Rating Council, Dow Building Solutions, Heat Barrier Systems, Horizon Exterior Technology, Integrated Power Corporation, LiveRoof, Orion Energy Systems, PHP Systems/Design, Quick Mount PV, Silverback Solar, SolarFrameWorks, USP Energy Coatings, and U.S. Sunlight Corporation, to name a few.

In addition to the products, a two-day series of 30-minute educational demonstrations will take place on Feb. 16-17. Participating companies include Dow Building Solutions, NRCA, Silverback Solar, Green Roof Blocks, RRCI, Clean Power Finance and Natron Resources. An additional 15 minutes will be allowed per demonstration for questions and answers.

“The Renewable Energy Pavilion promises to be an exciting addition to the International Roofing Expo,” said Bill Good, Executive Vice President of NRCA. “Everyone in the roofing industry needs to understand how new technologies will shape our future, and I encourage all of our members, in particular, to take advantage of this chance to see the latest products and learn from the educational demonstrations.”

The Renewable Energy Pavilion is included free of charge and included in all registration packages.

For more information or to register for the event, visit www.TheRoofingExpo.com/attendee. The International Roofing Expo will be held Feb. 16-18 in the North Halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev. For general show inquires, call 972-536-6350 or 888-869-8522.
