John J. Silvia of Matthews, N.C., has been named architectural sales representative for Englert, Inc., targeting architects interested in designing with metal roofing in North Carolina and South Carolina. Silvia joins Englert from Won Door Corporation where he was a district manager for the sale of door systems in the two states. Silvia has an extensive background in the building products industry working with architects and has been approved by the American Institute of Architects AIA) as an instructor for the AIA continuing education programs. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute. Silvia studied architecture at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, where he achieved dean’s list for four semesters. He will be responsible for developing key relationships and providing specific technical assistance on metal roofing systems to architects, specifiers, contractors and builders.
