PODCAST: Designing Roofs for Extreme Weather

Designing Roofs for Extreme Weather
August 29, 2023
Your browser does not support the audio element.

Building Enclosure was recently joined by Mikael Kuronen, Director of Product Management for Georgia-Pacific Gypsum. Georgia-Pacific recently created an eBook "Designing for Extreme Weather." Mikael came on the podcast to discuss this resource and why it's important to specify a resilient roof system.

During our discussion, we go over how severe weather has changed in the last decade, and how this affects our buildings and how we design. We also go over why the type of coverboard matters when it comes to things like very severe hail.

Mikael goes on to talk about why the new eBook is critical for designers and the other resources Georgia-Pacific has for architects when it comes to designing for extreme weather.
