JCJ Architecture (JCJ), a nationally ranked planning, architecture, and interior design firm, announces the addition of Barry Goldstein, AIA, as new Associate Principal and Managing Director and the promotions of two key team members to senior roles.

An accomplished architect with 38 years of experience, Goldstein holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University and has been intimately involved throughout his career in projects ranging from commercial office, retail, manufacturing, and aviation to education, worship, government, and multi-family residential. In addition to holding the position of Associate Principal, Goldstein joins JCJ in the role of Managing Director, where he will guide project processes, direct resource allocation, and manage project performance around four of JCJ’s regional offices, including Tulsa, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and San Diego. Goldstein will work collaboratively with JCJ’s leadership to help optimize the firm’s operational effectiveness and help the company’s employee-owners achieve client and project related objectives.

“As the new Managing Director, I’m eager to assist in JCJ’s growth, and am excited to leverage my expertise into the continued development of the talented group of designers and architects at the firm,” said Goldstein. “While the Managing Director role is national in scope, I look forward to working with our leaders on expanding JCJ’s local presence in Tulsa and our contribution to the wider region.”

In addition to Goldstein’s appointment, the firm has also recently promoted individuals in Tulsa to senior level positions. Jim Healy, AIA, Senior Project Manager, who was also named as a firm Associate, and Sean Pendley, AIA, Associate and Senior Project Architect, have been appointed to serve as Tulsa Studio Leaders. Expanding the number of studio leaders is a reflection of JCJ’s strong growth in Tulsa, which continues to see significant expansion in the number of staff as well as diversification in the size and range of projects in the region. In the Studio Leader role, Jim and Sean will be at the forefront of JCJ’s efforts within the Tulsa office to promote the firm’s culture and manage staffing assignments and utilization. They will work directly with the Managing Director to coordinate staff recruiting, performance, and professional development.

“It is extremely gratifying to see the continued momentum and growth of our Tulsa office, and to have these three individuals representing JCJ on a regional and national basis. Working alongside Principals Amy and Randall Hull, who have been with us since our launch in 2018, we are well positioned to strategically leverage the collective expertise and energy of our employee-owners,” said Scott P. Celella, CSI, LEED AP, Chief Operating Officer of JCJ Architecture. “As we further diversify and strengthen relationships, we look forward to serving institutions, owners, and local communities with JCJ’s signature engaged and value-driven design process.”
