October 26, 2022

The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) has announced the agenda for the upcoming SprayFoam 2023 Convention & Expo, which returns to Daytona Beach, Florida for four full days February 12th through 15th, with professional certifications and pre-convention events happening February 12th and 13th and the convention February 14th and 15th. The event brings together industry participants in spray foam insulation, roofing, specialty applications, coatings and related equipment from all over the U.S. and abroad.

“SprayFoam 2023 is the world’s largest annual trade show dedicated to all things spray foam,” says Rick Duncan, executive director of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance. “Each year the industry’s who’s who converges at this jam-packed event for education, networking, exhibits, certifications, golf, parties and much more. Anyone looking to grow their career, connect with colleagues and customers, and set themselves apart should attend.”

The event’s agenda encompasses a variety of offerings including: 45 educational break-out sessions; a robust exhibits hall showcasing nearly 100 companies; SPFA Professional Certification Program (PCP) courses, installer training, written exams and free field exams; the ABAA Certified applicator Training; the 18th Annual SPFA National Industry Excellence Awards ceremony and luncheon; Golf Tournament; member and contractor-only events; and an entertainment-filled Closing Reception and Networking Party.

New this year, the SPFA has announced Building Science Fundamentals, a two-day, co-located seminar on February 12th and 13th to be hosted by Dr. Joseph Lstiburek, Ph.D., P.Eng., ASHRAE Fellow, principal of Building Science Corporation. Lstiburek will teach the basic knowledge needed to design and build durable, energy-efficient, affordable, and healthy buildings. The seminar will be held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach and Lstiburek will discuss building science principles (such as the control of heat, air, and moisture and IAQ) and explain how to apply them to low-energy enclosure design, advanced HVAC systems, forensic investigations, and the repair and retrofit of existing buildings. Registration is $895 (SPFA members) and $995 (non-members) and continental breakfast and lunch is included. AIA members will receive 16 LU|HSW upon completion of the seminar.

The SPFA will also bring back Professional Certification Program offerings at the show, including Courses, Exams, free Field Exams, as well as an all-new offering called the Field Exam Experience. Offered before Field Exams each day, participants of the Field Exam Experience will be taken through each of the Field Exam stations and provided with guidance as to how field exams are conducted, using an actual Field Exam set up.

SprayFoam 2023 Convention & Expo will be held at the Ocean Center at 101 N. Atlantic Ave in Daytona Beach.
