EYP Architecture & Engineering announced that Chad Hutchison, NCARB, has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as senior medical planner. In this role, Hutchison will provide planning efforts for healthcare facilities, assist with space programming, and facilitate meetings with owners and users on the organization of spaces within healthcare settings.

Hutchison brings over a decade of experience in planning, design and project management to his role at EYP. He brings a diverse project background in healthcare facilities. Hutchison’s most notable project was the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System in Biloxi, Mississippi, which provided a tremendous positive impact for the patient population through a healing space for patients and caregivers.

Before joining EYP, Hutchison was the senior healthcare planner with Catalyst/FreemanWhite in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, he prepared 10-year master facility plans for individual and system healthcare facilities. Prior to his position with Catalyst/FreemanWhite, he was a healthcare architect planner for BWBR in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he prepared planning and contract documents for healthcare projects. Given these roles, and others, Hutchison brings extensive industry knowledge, especially in healthcare architecture, to the firm.

Hutchison received a Bachelor of Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
