CHARLESTON, S.C. – Quest Construction Products LLC, a division of Quest Specialty Chemicals, is proud to announce that all QCP manufacturing sites have been certified to both the ISO 9001:2008 Quality and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental standards.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the largest and most recognized organization in the world that develops global standards for business. Auditors examined work processes, quality management and control systems, as well as environmental impact procedures. After a nine month process and multiple site audits, Perry Smith, Charleston Plant Superintendent, is happy to display the ISO certification documents in the front lobby.
“Achieving the ISO certifications validates our ongoing emphasis on manufacturing high quality products while ensuring that our environmental impact is continually reduced,” Smith said. “We are proud of our newest certifications and will strive to set the industry benchmark in these areas as well as in safety and sales.”
QCP has two manufacturing facilities – one in Charleston, SC and one in Phoenix, AZ. From these two sites, QCP manufactures products under the Hydro‐Stop, United Coatings, and StreetBond brand names.
Since QCP is a multi‐site manufacturing company, representatives from each site were tasked with coordinating documents and processes to ensure each site would meet the ISO standards. Perry Smith, Plant Superintendent from the Charleston plant and Vicki Eshoo, Chemist from the Phoenix location, were instrumental in making sure the certification process ran as smoothly as possible.
