Amy Peevey Becomes First Female President of IIBEC

IIBEC unveiled its new executive committee and board of directors—including its first female president, Amy Peevey—on March 6, 2023, during the 2023 IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show in Houston, Texas.
 
IIBEC President Chris Giffin, RRC, AIA, passed the president’s pin to new IIBEC President Amy Peevey, RRO, REWC, PE, CDT, making Giffin IIBEC’s immediate past president. Robért Hinojosa, F-IIBEC, RBEC, RRO, REWO, PE, CDT, is IIBEC’s new first vice president, and Chris Dawkins, PE, is the new second vice president. Results of IIBEC’s election for secretary-treasurer also were announced, with Jennifer Hogan, B.Arch.Sci., CET, REWC, RRO, LEED AP, Certified Passive House Consultant, declared the winner.
 
 Joining the IIBEC Board of Directors for 2023–2024 are Region II Director Nicholas Tribble, RRO, and Region VII Director Stephanie Robinson, P.Eng. The full IIBEC Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 2022–2023 are:
 
 Region 1: Julie Palmer, LEED AP
 Region 2: Nicholas Tribble, RRO
 Region 3: Charlie Sietmann, RRO, REWO, CCCA, CIT
 Region 4: Jon Cannon, RRO, REWO, CDT

 “What a true honor to be serving as IIBEC president for this upcoming year,” said Peevey of her historic election. “I look forward to serving the IIBEC membership.”
 
 The new board and executive committee were announced during IIBEC’s Annual Meeting of the Members, part of the 2023 IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show, held March 3–6, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
