Black Spectacles, an online education program providing architects with resources on their path to becoming licensed and advancing their careers, is pleased to announce the recent promotions and additions of key leaders to its growing staff, as the company launches its online career platform for architects—Spectacular.

Black Spectacles recently added Andrew Davidson, Vice President of Operations; Greg Wright, Head of UX / Design; Rakesh Verma, Head of Engineering; and Sarah Norell, Learning Design Manager. Additionally, the company promoted AJ Chedrick, Sales Manager; Elaine Deveney, Director of Customer Success; Rachel Poe, Video Production Manager; and Kate Brennan, Marketing Manager.

Recognized by Inc. Magazine as the 11th fastest growing education company in the United States, Black Spectacles has spent the last decade supporting and inspiring architects through world-class educational materials. 75% of the top 50 architecture firms currently subscribe to Black Spectacles. With a mission to remove barriers to career expansion and pave the way for creative potential, Black Spectacles’ Founder and CEO Marc Teer recognized an opportunity to elevate the architect’s portfolio and transform traditional job boards into meaningful connections with the launch of Spectacular.

The new leadership team has been collaborating on the rollout of Spectacular, designed to streamline the job searching experience by offering a modern alternative to the profession’s traditional sharing of portfolios in printed and pdf format. Spectacular features and rotates projects—both conceptual and completed work—on the website’s homepage serving as inspiration for other users, expediting the speed at which new ideas are shared, and giving job seekers increased exposure. Architecture firms can also post job openings, showcase their firm’s profile, and search for architects that meet specific criteria.

“I’m pleased to welcome four new key additions and four promotions among our team members to further round out our leadership at Black Spectacles,” said Marc Teer, Founder & CEO, Black Spectacles. “As a result of their leadership and vision; Andrew, Greg, Rakesh, Sarah, AJ, Elaine, Rachel, and Kate have distinguished themselves for their commitment to providing our subscribers with the best platform to assist in their career growth.”

In addition to the recent leadership onboarding in support of Spectacular’s launch, Black Spectacles continues to grow its team of designers, product specialists, customer representatives, and business support. Within the past few months, the company has hired eight additional team members and promoted two staff members.

Spectacular’s landing page is now live at http://spectacular.design currently offering professionals the ability to request an invitation to use the free platform. Invitations are currently being extended to cultivate an active, interested community of architects, designers, and firms.
