The International Code Council welcomes Gabe Maser as the vice president of federal relations. Maser will manage and direct the Code Council’s federal policy and legislative priorities agenda, and maintain and enhance ICC’s advocacy presence in Washington, D.C.
The Code Council promotes safe buildings and resilient communities through the adoption of modern, up-to-date, and cost efficient codes and standards. In support of its 64,000 members, the ICC Government Relations department educates policymakers and civic leaders at all levels of government about the importance of building safety, building codes and the role of code officials. In particular, the vice president of federal relations builds relationships on the federal level with the U.S. Congress, the White House and federal agencies.
