CertainTeed Highlights Products at INTEX 2018

Breaking News Image #1
March 26, 2018

CertainTeed will be making an appearance at INTEX Expo 2018 as a Gold Sponsor and highlighting the newest addition coming soon to its gypsum product line, GlasRoc Interior. INTEX Expo, March 27-28 at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort in Orlando, is the largest trade show specifically catering to the wall and ceiling industry, showcasing the latest and greatest products, services and solutions to help the industry thrive.

At this year’s show, CertainTeed is encouraging commercial construction industry professionals to ‘Be Material-istic’ by focusing on quality outcomes. The best materials are guided by function, and CertainTeed demonstrates that when it comes to building, choosing the finest and most trusted products can help achieve peak levels of comfort and aesthetics. Attendees are invited to visit CertainTeed at booths #1537 and #1546 to learn more.

In addition, two leading industry trade associations, the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI) and the Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association (CISCA), co-locate their annual conventions in conjunction with the INTEX Expo. In support of AWCI’s Centennial Celebration, CertainTeed is proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of the AWCI Convention. For over a century, both CertainTeed and AWCI have continually led the industry by setting high standards and providing innovative services and products to the building trade. CertainTeed Ceilings continues its decade-long Gold Sponsorship through its affiliation with CISCA.

“During the building and remodeling process, attention to core building materials matters,” says Mara Villanueva-Heras, vice president of corporate marketing at CertainTeed. “We encourage everyone to ‘Be Material-istic’ and strive for quality outcomes by choosing the best-in-class technology and innovative materials for foundational building materials as well as the finishing touches.”

The INTEX Expo represents all market segments, which include drywall, ceilings and acoustics, lath and metal framing, plaster, EIFS, insulation, software and much more. CertainTeed will be showcasing and discussing these must-see, featured products:

GlasRoc Interior – Coming soon! High-performance mold- and moisture-resistant glass mat gypsum panel that stands up to the toughest pre-rock conditions. Featuring a unique, smooth surface that helps you achieve a Level 4 finish without the need for a skim coat Visit booth #1537 for specifics on this time-saving product.

QuickSpan Locking Drywall Grid System – QuickSpan provides a superior time-saving solution to installers by allowing quicker and easier spans for drywall ceilings. With the highest tested and certified load data, QuickSpan spans more distance without the need for mid-span support or hanger wire, and its click-in design delivers faster installation with strength and stability. Demos for this innovative grid system will be taking place throughout the show.

Ecophon Solo – Looking for a fast and precise installation that provides an aesthetic alternative to suspended ceilings? Lightweight free-hanging Solo Clouds and Baffles have simple hardware that doesn’t require assembly and drillable anchors. Achieve your customers’ vision by executing tiered and angled installations. Available in 16 standard colors and 11 shapes. Installation techniques for hanging clouds will be presented at the show.

SmartFit Yoke – This accessory enables faster installation of the suspension system when linear panels and fixtures require tightly spaced parallel main tees. It features a two-piece system with pre-drilled holes every inch, decreasing the number of required hanger wires and reducing installation time. It is compatible with the entire line of CertainTeed acoustical and drywall suspension systems.

NO-COAT – NO-COAT Structural Laminate drywall corner system provides optimal strength and performance for the toughest, straightest edge, creating a perfect corner at any angle needed every time. Save additional time by using the innovative NO-COAT Automated Corner machine – its lightweight portability makes it easy to move on the job site. Not only is it the first and only automated system for custom cutting corners of any length or angle, but when both products are paired together, it’s simply the fastest and most efficient cornering system available.

AquaBead – Water-activated AquaBead offers fast, easy installation and outstanding performance, every time. An easy-to-apply, self-adhesive drywall corner that won’t blister, bubble or edge crack.

Unfaced Sustainable Insulation with Membrain Continuous Air Barrier & Smart Vapor Retarder – When installed in interior walls, unfaced Sustainable Insulation can efficiently reduce room-to-room noise by breaking the path of sound to create more peaceful spaces. When paired with Membrain, you are adding a layer of protection to help prevent mold and mildew.

SMARTBATT with MoistureSense Technology – At the core of SMARTBATT is CertainTeed’s sustainable fiberglass wool, which has been engineered for superior drying capabilities as well as thermal resistance and noise reduction. The SMARTBATT MoistureSense facing performs as a smart vapor retarder – its permeability adjusts according to the humidity inside the walls. It’s a revolutionary way to manage moisture and create healthier indoor spaces.

EasyTouch Encapsulated Unfaced Insulation – A fiberglass insulation encapsulated in an easy-to-handle perforated film, EasyTouch makes installs easier and cleaner by limiting dust and free particles. It can be used in sidewalls and attics, crawlspaces, above commercial ceiling grids and anywhere a Class A fire rating is needed.
