OMG Realigns Management Team to Drive Growth

September 7, 2010
OMG, Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of innovative fasteners, adhesives, drains and tools for use in construction and commercial roofing applications, has realigned its management team to drive continued growth.

OMG, Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of innovative fasteners, adhesives, drains and tools for use in construction and commercial roofing applications, has realigned its management team to drive continued growth.

Under the new organizational structure, Tom Wagner has been named senior vice president of business development, John Ashe has been named vice president and general manager of FastenMaster and Josh Kelly has been named vice president and general manager of OMG Roofing Products. All report directly to Hubert McGovern, OMG president and CEO.

“We are at a juncture where satisfying customer needs and diversifying our business requires more bandwidth,” said McGovern. “These changes give us the focus necessary to enhance products and services that OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster provide, while at the same time enabling us to pursue opportunities for growth in new markets with new products.” In his newly created position, Wagner will serve as the gatekeeper for new product and market initiatives, manage merger and acquisition opportunities for the company, and strengthen the corporate strategic planning processes related to growth.

Wagner has extensive experience at OMG with strategic planning and new product/new market growth. He served successfully as senior vice president and general manager of FastenMaster, and as senior vice president of sales and marketing respectively for the Company. During his tenure, OMG realized significant growth and profitability in both areas.

As the new vice president and general manager of FastenMaster, Ashe will focus on expanding opportunities in the home center channel, bringing new products to market and enhancing customer relationships. He will also oversee efforts to improve FastenMaster’s finishing and distribution operations.

Ashe is an 18 year veteran of OMG, and served most recently as vice president of sales for FastenMaster. Ashe achieved significant success in this role by capitalizing on his previous experience as national sales manager for FastenMaster and other previous sales roles in the Roofing Products sector.

As vice president and general manager of OMG Roofing Products, Kelly is responsible for sales, marketing and operations. He will focus on bringing innovative new products to market to maximize the company’s existing market position, and overseeing a global growth strategy. Kelly most recently served as vice president of marketing for Roofing Products. During his 19-year tenure with the company, Kelly has served as marketing director, international sales manager, national account manager and technical assistant for Roofing Products. He was instrumental in commercializing several products, including the RhinoBond Induction Welding System.

“We are excited about the potential these moves offer in terms of growth and an improved customer experience,” said Hubert McGovern. “Taking these accomplished executives and better positioning them to focus on our future will result in continued success for OMG.”
